Due to limited class sizes, admission to music major courses can be competitive. Therefore, incoming freshman and transfer students are strongly encouraged to take Music 20 during the summer to prepare for the Musicianship Placement exam. Please see the Schedule of Courses for additional information.

Students planning to take music major classes (49-61, 150-189) or to major in music MUST complete the Music Placement Procedure before enrolling in music major classes.
