We are pleased to
announce that our multi-million dollar campaign for a new Music Library
is complete. Bolstered by a $4 million gift from Jean Gray Hargrove (B.A.,
'35) - a long-time resident of Berkeley, and a talented pianist - the
new building provides more space, better access, and protection for the
library's extensive and renowned collections.
The Jean Gray Hargrove
Music Library opened in 2004. It is located just south of Morrison
Hall, on the hill sloping down to the playing field.

- PLANS FOR NEW PERFORMANCE SPACE
Restoration of this
historical John Galen Howard building will provide an additional central
campus concert and rehearsal space. Smaller and less formal than Hertz
Hall, the flexible, open floor plan of the Powerhouse will greatly enrich
the resources and opportunities so important to student performers.
