Flutist Emma Moon received BM and MM degrees from the Juilliard School where she studied with Julius Baker. She also attended Yale University where she graduated with a degree in Sociology and studied with Thomas Nyfenger and Ransom Wilson. Formerly a flutist with the Honolulu Symphony, Hawaii Opera Theater, and Chamber Music Hawaii, Emma currently performs with various Bay Area ensembles. She has performed at Lincoln Center, Kennedy Center, and Carnegie Hall as a chamber and orchestral musician and has been a participant at the Spoleto Festivale dei Due Mondi, Rostropovich's Festivale Rencontre Internationale D'Evian, Festival by the Red Sea with Lorin Maazel, Alexander Schneider's New York String Orchestra, Pacific Music Festival with Leonard Bernstein, Glimmerglass Opera, Waterloo, Tanglewood, and Sarasota Music Festivals. Recently, she performed with the Sun Valley Music Festival and the Cabrillo Music Festival. She currently resides in San Francisco.
