Personal statement

Robert Ward is a graduate of Oberlin College Conservatory of Music. He has studied privately with Robert Fries, Kendall Betts, Charles Kavalovski, Dale Clevenger and Arnold Jacobs. He has appeared as soloist with the San Francisco Symphony and at Tanglewood. He is a founding member of the chamber groups The Bay Brass & Foxglove Chamber Ensemble. Mr. Ward has taught for the Young Musician's Program at UC Berkeley, San Francisco State University, Dalhousie University (Nova Scotia), and Acadia University (Nova Scotia). Mr. Ward has been employed by the Atlanta Symphony and the Denver Symphony. Currently Robert Ward is Associate Principal Horn with the San Francisco Symphony.
