Can be matched 1:1 through the Hewlett Challenge to create a new endowed chair, for a distinguished faculty member, with a $2,000,000 endowment. A chair endowment established through the Hewlett Challenge is named for the donor family, or someone you wish to honor. Cumulative gifts of $1,000,000 are recognized on the Builders of Berkeley donor monument located in front of Doe Library.
