The Department of Music congratulates Professor Ken Ueno on his election to the Board of the Society of Fellows of the American Academy in Rome. Acomposer, vocalist, and sound artist whose work bridges performance, installation, and scholarship, Professor Ueno is a former Rome Prize Fellow whose creative practice has been recognized internationally.
The Society of Fellows supports and extends the mission of the American Academy in Rome by fostering dialogue among artists, scholars, and architects who have held fellowships at the Academy. Professor Ueno’s election to the Board recognizes his distinguished contributions to contemporary music and his ongoing commitment to interdisciplinary exchange across the arts and humanities.
