Teaching Highlights: Teaches private and group lessons, ensembles , and workshops at: Cal State University East Bay, Hayward Jazzschool Institute , Berkeley The Jazzschool Community School, Berkeley Musically Minded Academy, Oakland.
He was assistant professor in the percussion department at: Berklee College of Music in Boston from 1986-1993 Where he taught private lessons, classes and ensembles, in addition to helping develop curriculum for the department.
He is author of an article for Percussive Notes magazine, NOV. 1986 and a drum book entitled: “Internalization” A non-reading intensive approach to mastery of the jazz drumming language (www.internalization.net) published 2005.
