The Department of Music is saddened to share the news of Emeritus Professor Michael Senturia's passing.
Speaking on Michael's passing, Department Chair David Milnes said “Michael’s contributions over three decades helped shape the department we see today. Devoted to his craft, Michael’s love for teaching was apparent to everyone around him, earning him a Distinguished Teaching Award in 1979. His visionary leadership of the University Orchestra produced countless memorable performances and deeply affected thousands of students. The Department of Music thanks Michael for the legacy he left in our department and we wish his family and friends comfort at this difficult time.”
