April 10, 2025

Matthew Evan TaylorIn early April, Assistant Professor of Composition Matthew Evan Taylor was honored by Miami University's Frost School of Music for their Centennial Celebration. For the Centennial event, the school brought together 100 alumni who represent the best of the Frost School, celebrating composers, educators, instrumentalists, producers, singers and more.

Speaking on the occasion, Professor Taylor said “I am forever grateful for my time at Frost. Those years were vital to building a foundation for the career I have built today. Many of the core curiosities of my practice began in Miami, interacting with the professors, students, and local artists around me at the time.”

Alongside Professor Taylor, the event also honored jazz guitarist Pat Metheny, singer-songwriter Ben Folds, actress Dawn Lewis, and more.

We offer a hearty congratulations to Professor Taylor and all those who were recognized. Also, congratulations to the Frost School of Music for 100 years of incredible work. Here's to 100 more!
