Bio/CV:
Ben Davis spent many years working in the jazz and improv scene in Europe before moving to the states in 2016. He worked with amongst others: Ingrid Laubrock, Evan Parker, Django Bates, Mulato Astatke, Simon Nabatov and his Mercury nominated group Basquiat Strings, as well as with visiting American artists : Wadada Leo Smith, Mary Halvorson, Bobby Mcferrin and Drew Gress.
Since living in the States Ben has been focused on fusing his classical, jazz and folk experience with free improvisation collaborating with Chris Brown, Insect Life, Larry Ochs, Zeena Parkins, Ben Goldberg, James Fei, William Winant, Fred Longberg-Holmes and Myra Melford.
Ben also teaches cello technique and theory at the Crowden School
