Vocalist Cecilia Engelhart has recorded and performed with artists as diverse as Andy Bey, Theo Bleckmann, Jay Clayton, Willie Colon, Santi Debriano, Paquito D’ Rivera, Rinde Eckert, Tania Libertad, Carman Moore, Oscar Castro Neves, Danilo Perez, Keith Terry, Ellen Webb. She became a member of the Meredith Monk Ensemble as soloist and ensemble singer in 2001 and has performed with Meredith regularly since. She is also a regular featured soloist with the early music ensembles, “El Coro Hispano” and “Conjunto Nuevo Mundo” in San Francisco.
Cecilia is an active composer and arranger. Her most recent projects include: a trio with modern dancer Ellen Webb and bassist Scott Walton; Tanaora: a latin/brazilian/ jazz group; and Free Dive, an adventurous chamber band with body percussionist Keith Terry, trombonist Jeff Cressman and bassist Steve Hogan.
Cecilia is currently Director of Production a SFJAZZ. She is also the Production Manager for the International Body Music Festival. Cecilia has over 20 years experience in production management, stage management and road management in the Bay Area, New York City and internationally.
