In mid-September, the Music Department hosted the inaugural Piano Institute 2013, a series of performances, commentaries, and master classes, among them Seymour Lipkin of Curtis and Juilliard, and concert pianists Robert Henry, Suzanne Macahilig, and Chuck Fuery. Several undergraduate students from the music department’s piano program, Nate Ben-Horin, Theodora Serbanescu-Martin and Rachel Lee, performed for the occasion.
